What an aluminum fence is
Aluminum fence is built from lightweight but sturdy metal panels with vertical pickets, usually in a black finish. It gives you the look of iron with less weight and less cost, and because aluminum does not rust, it keeps that look for the long haul.
Pros and cons
Aluminum needs very little maintenance once it is in. There is nothing to repaint and nothing to rust, and the open pickets keep sightlines clear while still marking the boundary.
The tradeoff is that an open picket fence does not give privacy. If screening is your goal, look at wood privacy or vinyl. Aluminum also costs less than true wrought iron but more than chain link.
Where it fits best
Aluminum is a popular choice around front yards and pool areas, where you want to define a boundary without closing off the view. It is also a good fit for gardens and for properties where curb appeal matters. We plan walk gates and wider openings into the layout.
Aluminum panels are rigid, so on sloped ground they step or rack to follow the grade, which is worth keeping in mind when planning the fence line. Panel height, picket style, and gate placement are chosen to match the property.
Upkeep and getting an estimate
Upkeep is minimal: an occasional rinse is plenty. Keep soil and mulch from piling against the bottom of the panels.
Start with a call, a text, or the estimate form, and Brad will follow up. We then talk through panel height, picket style, and gate placement and give you a clear quote. Estimates are free and there is no obligation. Most residential fences are installed in one to three days once we start; larger jobs, difficult terrain, or weather can add time, and we give you a realistic timeline with your estimate.
Common questions
Will an aluminum fence rust?
No. Aluminum does not rust, which is a big reason people choose it over iron or steel.
Can an aluminum fence work for a pool?
Aluminum is a popular choice around pools because it marks the area clearly while keeping the view open. Pool fencing can come with specific rules, so check any that apply to your property before choosing a fence.
Does it give privacy?
No. The pickets are open. If you want privacy, a wood or vinyl privacy fence is the better fit.
